Classes are offered in my classroom, in your home, and in corporate office settings

Classroom                                                                           Every Wednesday at  6:30 – 8:00 PM  

Classes will be taught in the comfort of my home
with space for up to 12 students

All you need to bring is a willing body,
an open heart, a positive mind,
and your own personal sticky mat

Blankets, Belts and Blocks and other props are provided

All Levels Beginner Class    October 5, 12, 19, 26  November (2), 9, 16,23, (30)                     **If for any reason I need to reschedule class due to illness or other reasons I will schedule a make up class.

Having learned all of the basics and where the meridians are located we can now step into a deeper practice by holding the poses longer when possible and working deeper to strengthen the core and open the joints. The seasons will be changing and the practices will reflect what is needed for the body to release. There will be a mix of Yin and Yang practices with an emphasis on learning some inversions. There will be options for those who are just beginning and for those who want to go deeper. We will explore standing poses and some movement with them. The class will include centering the mind, gentle openers, standing poses, some inversion and savasana. Occasionally we may have a circuit class or work with stability balls. Fun for all levels and ages!

Restorative Classes

These classes are designed for all levels and encompass several different styles of Yoga and Feldenkrais practices. They are designed to help alleviate stiffness, sore muscles, bulging disks, headaches, tightness in jaws, shoulders and necks, tightness in hips and knee joints, overall aches and pains, foggy brains, depression from lyme disease, tiredness and menopausal symptoms. The classes will be an hour and half and will encompass some centering with breath, some supported poses and then some contemplative practice with savasana. All designed to take the edge off our busy world. Take time for yourself to relax and renew. From time to time there may be some additional work with Chakra Balancing, Energy Work and other modalities to help enhance our well being. doTERRA CPTG Oils will be used and discussed during class. Updates on Classes will be emailed to clients on a weekly basis.

Core Class
This class is designed to increase your overall strength in your core. Where is your core? What are the muscles that make up the core? You will be amazed to know that it is much more that the Rectus Abdominal “Eight Pack” commonly know as the six pack, or even the Obliques and the lower Transverse Abdominals but actually in the Inner Thighs and the Pelvis muscles! So we will explore some new regions and I’m sure you will feel some areas never explored before! us in gaining strength in these new areas.  Come and be prepared to have fun!

Change Your Age
This class is designed to increase your awareness for your habitual patterns of movement, overcome confusion, fatigue, pain, fear and limitations. This will open pathways for you to live a more comfortable, graceful, and agile life. This method was designed by Moshe Feldenkrais who introduced his method in Israel in the 1950’s. He helped worn torn people to heal from serious damage caused to their brains and bodies. He dedicated his teachings to remapping the central nervous system and found that moving more easily with reduced internal resistance was critical to human satisfaction and survival. He assembled a vast repertoire of Awareness Through Movements, well over 1,000 ATM’s, mapping out the possibilities of the human nervous system to improve functioning movement, regardless of age and overall conditioning. It has been said that Awareness can lead to more of a deeper change than either Force or Effort. All levels are welcomed and I find that the higher levels have more difficulties with this practice than beginners.

Beginner Level Yin/ Yang
Beginner Yin /Yang Yoga Level is more Yin or loving in style. It is a very insightful and compassionate style of yoga that not only makes the body more resilient but also opens the door to a very loving kindness attitude in accepting our own bodies and knowing what our own limits are. Through slow, steady, gentle joint opening postures we will explore how to unlock habitual postural patterns, tap into the meridian energy system, tame the wild mind with different meditation techniques and implement other approaches towards healing and well-being. There will be some gentle movement with some basic standing poses and props used when appropriate. The class will be structured to include some centering, gentle stretches to open joints and connective tissue and meridians, some standing poses and savasana.

Abs Class
This Class will focus on the belly center. We will learn where these muscles are and how to access the core muscles to give the body more support, physically and mentally. It is through the belly that we access emotions and compassion. There will be a different set of poses every week with a basic set of regular movements. We will tap into the bandhas to help us access the core. These are ancient locks which help to increase the internal movements of the muscles deep inside the core. You will be surprised with what you find out about yourself deep within the belly. There is much more than you think. The class will include a basic abs assessment taken in the beginning and at the end to see where you have progressed. We will center using various pranayama (breathing) techniques and then a basic routine of yoga ‘strength training’ followed by some jumping movement, various yoga poses, and of course savasana!
