Corporate Yoga

Kelly has taught in several different corporate settings to the benefit of many employees. Some of them include Visa, LMI, and NRTC. Yoga in the workplace has so many benefits to the employees. It increases productivity and focus, overall job satisfaction, health and well-being in mind, body and heart, reduces stress and fatigue, and increases team building. Not to mention overall strength and flexibility.

Commonly Asked Questions:

How much does it cost?
This depends on how the Company sponsors the classes. Full Benefit is when the employer offers the classes free of charge to the employee. Partial Benefit is when the fee is shared by the employer and employee. No Benefit is when the employer offers a space in the office and employees pay for the classes.

How much room do you need?
Each student should have approximately a 3’ X 6’ area to work with and a room with plenty of wall space would be ideal although I have taught in some pretty tight office spaces and have been able to work around it.

What do employees need to have?
They should be able to have access to an area to change into comfortable stretchy pants and t-shirts. They should invest in their own sticky mats and a beach towel to cover with for final relaxation and for some poses.

What kind of Yoga do you teach?
I will be teaching a therapeutic style of yoga which stems from my training in Iyanger, Anusura and Yin yoga. They are designed to help trigger areas that most employees suffer from; back issues, shoulder and neck issues, wrist and hips. All areas that are most prone to tightness due to working in inappropriate seating and other working conditions.

Do you need to have any Yoga experience?
No. All of my classes are started at a very basic level and once we have established the basics there will be “options” on the menu to choose from depending on your level of experience.
How Long do the sessions and classes run for? Eight to Ten weeks is usually the norm and that way we have room for make-ups in the end due to weather or if I need to be out of town. The class itself is anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on when the classes are taught. Lunch time classes usually 45 minutes, after work classes an hour to an hour and a half.

How do we set the program up?
Contact Kelly and she will set an apt to talk about the overall needs and wants of the group. She can talk about props needed, and the cost per class and set up a specialized contract for your company.
